ok this post is really really lagged, we went to the aforementioned places on 6-7 Feb, way before even paris and now we're back from paris!

alright, so as maastricht people, we figured out that we should first explore the rest of the Netherlands before heading further out in europe, so we decided (rather randomly) to go the western part of the country.

upon arrival, we were quite gloomz because well the weather was damn gloomz


but we made the best of it and started taking really romantic looking dreamy pictures. as seen above!
after that we took a fantastic walk along the city area, the place was bustling with activity, unlike quiet maas so we liked the change.



next we went to museum Mauritshuis where we saw e original version of the girl with the pearl earring, for those who don't know what painting it is, here is a replica:



lol, we all felt quite atas lookin at such great art! after that we went to the international court of justice (ICJ). for those passionate history students like me, this place is significant, as many diplomatic issues were settled here. eg pedra branca issue for sgp? anybody knows wat i m talkin abt? nvm....here it is, real grand eh?



after that it's was a short bus ride to delft! really really quaint little town known for its their porcelain ware, love love this town, little canals were all over and little cafes lining the canels all leading to the grand old church.really chilled feeling all over.it was really cold though.






after that, we had dinner at a cafe and managed to catch a blues festival over there. outside a pub in a makeshift tent, there was a blues band that sang very nice songs like fever and a song that went 'if you lose your money, don't lose your mind, if you lose your woman, don't mess with mine' etc. cosy atmosphere i wouldnt forget =)

after that it was back to our stayokay hostel which was really really good for its price, so if u r interested in going here, i recommend this hostel. it had a decent bed n sheet and 6 of us girls had a bathroom to ourselves, breakfast was pretty decent too!!

ok i was gonna blog abt rotterdam too, but aiya, no time, need to go sch, can another maastricht person do rotterdam?

OH YEAH, WE TRIED BLIND BOOKING UNDER GERMANWINGS AND GOT BUDAPEST HUNGARY!! WE GOING ON 3-7MARCH...SO WATCH THIS SPACE FOR UPDATES!!YIPPEEDOO
