We went to Kinderdijk the next day... the place where 19 of Holland's signature windmills stand. Again, the weather wasn't fantastic but allowed for romantic/emo shots.

The windmills are only open from spring onwards. Closed during winter... we could have went into a mill to check out its interior.. but.. oh well... We had fun snapping away, freezing our shutter fingers, posing for each other...

It was really really nice... You have never been to Holland if you have not visited the windmills. (and the tulip plantation).

After that, we went back to Rotterdam... Our first stop was the cube houses!! Quite cool. But it was too cold. we decided to seek refuge in McDonald's and warm up before we continue with our plan of doing a walking tour around Rotterdam.

After warming up, we went ahead and did a modified (shorter) walking tour in the blistering cold... saw some bridges and nice architecture... but it was too cold to do anything else... haha

Overall, I would say the highlight of the trip will be Kinderdijk.... when you step into the misty place full of majestic windmills, with swans gliding on the water, geese flying across the fields in pairs (always in pairs)... it just feels good.

Knowing that you are in a postcard scenery makes it all the more enjoyable.
